Comfort food is just hearty food that makes you feel good. Its not necessarily pretty, just really good and most of the time associated with a memory or even a holiday.

Examples would be:

Parathay
Payye
Nihari
Pulao
Chicken pot pie
Mac n cheese
Fried chicken
Mash potatoes

I want me a bowl of mac n cheese now :frowning:
