i believe students prefer Canada/USA/Australia for exactly the same reason Lily mentioned. also, the family visas are restrictive in the UK as well. most Indians usually want their family members to immigrate as well and British Immigration policies aren’t as generous as Canadian or Australian.

What about Paki students?

For this, i blame Pakistani government, our government is not strong. Well done to pakistani people who live abroad , they have helped their country as much as they could. A lot of British Pakistanis are working at parliament house,they are at good stage when it comes to standards but sadly they step back due to the crap government.

Depends on the fees, doesn’t it. Colleges are under increased financial pressure in the UK/IRL due to the cutbacks. Registration fees alone has risen from around 600 euros in 2006 to 2000 something euros at present. That’s excluding the material fees, tuition fees, accommodation etc. This is probably the main reason why Cameron uncle wants more foreign students, that’s who they make the most money off of because EU nationals either don’t have to pay any tuition fees or it’s really subsidized.

That is the question, home student has to pay £9,000 per year at university ,it is double amount of it for the international student . They have cut down the grants and benefits they used to give students at colleges. A lot of people are against Cameron’s idea , they are not willing to pay the tax so students from India will come study on free or low paid scholarship. Everyone knows the secret of his offer . Personally, No more immigrants,we dont have the room,houses,NHS space or money to spare.

so i hope that students will go to uk…

indian students are studying in china,russia and even in some central asian republics..so why not in uk…
