*Indeed, the hours of the night are more effective for concurrence [of heart and tongue] and more suitable for words.
(6)Indeed, for you by day is prolonged occupation.(7)*And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with [complete] devotion.(8)surah muzzamil

The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allah, seeking to make it (seem) deviant. Those are in extreme error.*(3)*surah ibrahim

Peace @Khidr,

Above is a verse from the holy scripture "The Qur'an". What exactly you would like to know?

Is this speaking of prayer, meaning that night is more suitable for prayer?

Re: Come And Lets Read The ‘Holy Qur’an’ - With Translation

Peace Khidr,

As per my little knowledge, praying at night (third part of the night] is optional for us but it was obligatory upon our beloved Prophet :saw2: , as He PBUH was ordered by Almighty Allah to do so.

In other sense, day is made for struggling i.e., doing business, travelling, constructing etc. During the day time we offer prayers but some time hastily, so that we may complete/finish our business, travelling or construction etc., during the day time and before the night falls. As for the night, it is made for rest and a hardworking person won’t think about something else except doing some rest.

But if that person spare some time at night and devote for Almighty Allah then there are more chances of acceptance of his/her dua, prayer etc., or getting higher rewards in the life hereafter.

Kindly note daily five (5) obligatory salaat (prayer) timing are specified, but prayer at night is supererogatory (Nafl) salaath, which can be offered at night or at anytime, as per our convenience.

“Night” is not more suitable for prayer but our “struggles” for achievement are “suitable” with no time limits

Almighty Allah knows best.
