Muqawee what's the history behind ajrak? Like do you know why it's almost always that deep maroon color, and any other significance to it? Like is it equivalent of what the tartan is to the Scotts?

The history of Ajrak is ancient. The priest of Moen jo Daro had an ajrak on his shoulders. so this is in use for more than 5000 years. There are other colors of Ajrak than maroon like Blue, but probably maroon got more popularity as its color of celebration.
