I use mehndi regularly, this time i added lemon and olive oil and they turned brownish and not red ( i don;t like the red tinge either) , although they did turn a bit dry though, i think it was lemon that dried them out ( but other then that, the colour is a beautiful brownish shade - i wanted to go lighter, was planning to get highlights or something but skipped the idea, my hair is already very fine, cant afford more damage , but i did find out that mixing chamomile tea with henna gives that light brown shade ( along with olive oil) so will try that out next time!

Lol. I actually love my reddish browe hair. It’s part of the reasons why I don’t add other stuff btw chamomile makes iy more red so since you don’t like it, you might want to be wary of that.
