Colourful Summer Trends

I went to some designer shops to get myself new summer cloths for this summer season, well I went looking for the usual, white, creme, light brown .. green .. blue .. pink … types of colour but this summer, there is a new trend of really bright colours, (I mean really bright and funky), I was just so amused and suprised, the colours are bright pinky, sea blue, greenish, all colours that you might see in an indian saree, (with of course matching shoes, handbags, sawls, and …)

I don’t know what to do think of this trend, I am not too pleased with it, maybe its new or something, I do like colours but all this brightness is too much, and who know how long this will last and then you cannot wear it anymore, I think I am sticking with my usual summer colours.

Saadia, try it out! I think it'll look good on you. I've always been into black and dark color's but was sooo fed up with myself so I totally changed my wardrobe (bright pink, green!, blue) No regrets as yet!

Really Shinno, you think so, I am too fed up with dark winter colours, glad summer is finally coming.

I went for a biiig bright pink bag as my 1st step, then got some pink shirts, blue skirt and slowly kept on buying stuff. I actually bought a very nice fifties style green shirt yesterday, never before have I worn green. I keep on buying matching acessories, like belts and earrings in the same colours. DOn't overdo it, just mix n match and tadaaa.

I didn’t think I would, but I’m really liking all these lovely bright colors. The key is to accent them nicely, and they really look lovely.

Too bad Ammi won’t let me get some new clothes of my own! :crying:

aqua blue/sea blue/turquoise are amazing colours that are very much "in" over here (in all the stores). I love it. Also, deep pinks ... large floral prints .... I love it! You'll be surprised. They look really nice on brown skin tones.

I bought a Pucci print dress the other day........no chance of missing me this summer.

I always enjoy the pastels in the summer time. I’m surprised these bright colors are being promoted in the heat in Pakistan :slight_smile: But they do look pretty from the pics I’ve seen of them being promoted! :k:

Mehnaz, yup these colours are 'in', today I was a bit daring and wore a red spring sweater with black trousers.
