Yes u can get them in prescription also...i remember back when it was a fad in school and everyone had coloured lenses! So i had tried the blue and green ones...finally i got out of that phase and now i just stick to clear lenses.
I think with ur skin colour, u shud go for hazel...it looks good on pretty much everyone, whereas i never really thought grey looked that nice (but that's just me)...both my bros wear coloured lenses, one is medium/dark and has hazel lenses....the other is fair and wears green ones...the optician will let u try samples, so just buy the ones u like :)
Ofcourse you can. Alot of places give you a demo one you can try to see which one would look good on you. Try not to get the one in which you will look like a cartoon.
For example- someone with really dark skin color wearing green is just not the way to go.
it also depends on the color of ur eyes.. if u have dark eyes.. grey contacts may be look like really dark grey.. i tried green.. but i've dark color eyes.. it didn't suite that much.. but u should try them before ur gonna buy them..
My colored contacts are for fashion only (i.e. no presciption on them), and I wear them to parties or if they match what I'm wearing. But for me it was hard to keep them on for long periods of time. My eyes would get really really red and dry towards the end of the day. Also, I had trouble seeing with the contacts on at night. The color was really pretty though--I used the Honey colored contacts.
Give them a try, and see how you like them. You may love 'em, or you may not--it really depends on the person.
one of my cousins has honey she looks beautiful with them...very natural. i find hazel very scary.
actually deep green just might work on dark skin....i've never tried contacts but my eyesight is going totally nuts due to staring at the PC all day...and all that thinking i do putting effort into all my replies in political forum...im considering plain contacts.. i just found out that walmart sells contacts with 6 month expiry for a total cost of $35 i dunno how many pairs are included in it though...
i wore them few years, the blue ones...very nice mashallah most people did not notice they were lenses...as those lenses are made of different tones for a result as natural as possible...i think some green and brown ones exist too
but i am blond and fiar skinned...i mean light lenses on brown desi usually look so fake...you have to be very carefull to get the color that look natural, not to get freaking look.
and i'll add you got to be carefull, i had prescrition for them, as i was short sighted..but after some years my eyes became hypersensible, and i had to give up wearing lenses...so i had surgery done
well i’m going to tell you anyways…i’ve been using green contacts…and apparently they look real (so they say!), and people usually confuse them for grey, for some odddd reason…oh i’m not gori chitti, im like…honey colored with it comes to cover girl concealer…
