LD & PCG..u both are correct..the pink burqa really doesnt seem like a practical idea..its probably a good halloween idea..ill work on that and post a pic :D

colored abayas or burqas look pathetic… i used to think i’ll get a white one made, or light brown cuz arabia is already so friggin hot, wearing black only makes it worse… but seeing my khalas and mumanis wear colored burqas.. yeekh… i’ll stick to black and not sit in direct sunlight, thank u very much :pretty:

EMM: hardly. last season, abayas made of very light weight cotton (read “see thru”) were IN… so i doubt it has anything to do with the color…

i Guess black started off due to the non compelling color vs other brighter colors thus the purpose of warding off attention and plus it wont get dirtier as easily??

i dont think a burqa has to be black...as long as its does not make u stand out in a crowd and serves the purpose of parda :)

By the way, the point of burqa is to cover not only the face, but the whole body. And if a colour stands out in the crowd, it will definately attrat a second look.

of all the sacrves and hijab's that are avilable in the market, i hate those black one's with Gucci printed all over them, they are tasteless , ugly, and boring.

How about no Burqa's. Make women stay in house*.* No outside for women. Women go outside then she get fist to mouth. Problem solved.
