My friend has her bridesmaids wearing these dresses on her wedding day recently (she wore a tea pink and purple lehnga), and these dresses looked lovely.
I’m getting the same dress made from the same tailor, but with simpler work on the empire line waist area, and with long sleeves.
My only problem is deciding a colour to make it from! I’m thinking of going with the original, mauve colour, a navy blue colour, or otherwise a nude/mink colour. But I can’t decide!
What colours do you suggest?

it would look so nice with the flowy but not poufy silhouette of this dress.

See I was gonna go with navy. But my sister wants us to wear navy on her wedding day so I dunno anymore. Also the band of work is ugly on these dresses, I’m gonna have a smaller one, and keep it less chunky looking. If I can’t decide I’ll pick navy!
As for the sleeve, was gonna keep them simple and fitted, the tailor’s in India so I dont want to send too many pictures, can’t imagine the tailor trying to do puffy sleeves that work well.

Yes, am definitely gonna have the band around the waist. The dresses have this on the original designs as well, just didnt like the double-band thing going on, or the chunky work.
I think I like the band design you posted more, but cos it’s gonna be quite simple I’m not too worried about that!

ok if navy is out, how about eggplant? or even a charcoal grey? gold kaam on grey is STUNNING.
