Re: coloring books n pencils

my 20minth old is already an expert. mA :D

Re: coloring books n pencils

When he/she stops to taste everything. If you still want to then give him/her vegetable based crayons you will not have to worry about his/her feeding. Make sure they are soft enough to not become a choking hazards.

Re: coloring books n pencils

^ Hm that's a good point.

Re: coloring books n pencils

My 17 mth old chews on the crayons and I am a lil scared to give her pencils because she runs around a lot and I am afraid she might poke her eye.
:(

Re: coloring books n pencils

Mostly we don't bother with books, just scratch paper and crayons. I make her sit in her high chair, so she doesn't draw all over the house. She knows she has to do it on paper. She has only occasionally put them in her mouth (she doesn't usually do that with anything, but we do need to keep an eye out). In the past couple months she's gone from filling pages and pages with big sweeps of colors to drawing small loops and shapes and trying to fill them in.

Re: coloring books n pencils

sahar u give her crayons or pencils???

Re: coloring books n pencils

crayons, usually. but if she sees a pen or pencil she will demand it. either way, i watch her like a hawk when she's using them. with her the danger is not as much putting things in her mouth as it is coloring all over walls and furniture (she doesn't usually do any of it, but you have to be careful).

Re: coloring books n pencils

as mirch said vegetable crayons or simple ones ..... Hmmm i m asking tooo many questions na !!

Re: coloring books n pencils

it's ok. i've just given the crayola ones, nontoxic. but like i said, my daughter doesnt put stuff in her mouth often, and she understands when told not to.

(didn't know there were vegetable ones!)
