have any of yall tried using that colored henna stuff?
I’ve seen my sudanese friends wear a black type of mendhi on eid and i had my family from pakistan send me those glitter gel cones to accent a mendhi design but i was wondering if anyone has tried those colored pastes?

Those are NOT henna. Those are body paint types, and I would NOT trust them. Henna only comes in one color, which is the natural dark brown. Please don't get suckered into this stuff. I couldn't tell you how many times I've had to break bad news to people and send them to a doctor because they used something they were told was henna (like black henna), which sensitized them to it wherein they could die if they had it done only ONE more time.
There is NO black henna. She likely used PPD laced hair dye that looks like paste. Do not let her do that again, it can cause serious allergic reactions.
If you want colors on your hands, only use safe and approved body paints.

Btw, the pictures you've shown are called glitter mehndi. It's done two ways.
One is with a medical adhesive that is applied in the pattern desired and sprinkled cosmetic grade glitter over it.
The second way is by mixing a good quality hair gel with cosmetic grade glitter and applying it on the skin.

glitter is nice fr little touches but it doesnt beat the real dark brown mehndi..
