I am in love with colored stones. Especially yellow and black diamond! I think it would make an amazing engagement/anniversary ring, and would be different too! What do you guys think? Yay or Nay?

Love it! I think coloured stones are so glamorous and add so much interest. I like sapphire and pearl best. My husband proposed to me with a pearl w diamond halo ring and then gave me a traditional diamond ring at our engagement. I love them both!
But be careful and choose something you've always liked rather than a colour you just fell in love with cause of colour trends - they change often.

thats really good advice!! lucky girl, two rings on one wedding! :) i love love love love pearls and i have never seen a pearl being given at a wedding!! i would love to see a picture to get an idea!! have an anniversary coming up and since we have never been to big on these things, im thinking this year i want something different! need to start putting in the hints!

I have an upcoming Engagement inshAllah.. being a guy, i am quite fond of giving Diamond rings to my fiancee..
However, am exploring what other choices there may be...
But i am not fond of colored diamonds, truly kills the beauty of the diamond.

I love coloured diamonds! I think they are a great anniversary gift! I dont think they would do as well as an engagement ring, because white diamonds are classic and will look good for ages, whereas coloured diamonds are fads....but I love them nonetheless!!

Love coloured rings too.. so gorgeous! I do think I would still prefer a white diamond just because of how timeless it is. Having said that, I know some older women that have had coloured rings and obviously they're still in style! :)

Love colored diamonds! Just saw some stunning pink and yellow diamond engagement rings on Pinterest. I was hoping for a yellow diamond myself but got a clear one instead. Still gorgeous but colored is always my first choice.

I wanted a yellow diamond or sapphire ring myself but my Nikah happened so fast, I didn't even have time to think about it so my hubby picked out a clear. Still gorgeous, but colored was also my first choice!! Ugh and then kate middleton came along and all of a sudden the world is in love with coloured stones lol darn it.

I’m getting an emerald with diamond halo for my upcoming engagement 
The only thing that’s bothering me a lil bit is that it might not be obvious to people that it’s an engagement ring. Oh well, who cares what people think

Colored stones rings looks absolutely stunning... I think black colored diamond mounted over silver gold looks fabulous.
I think you could definitely go for colored rings.
