My fiance thinks I should wear honey colored contacts on my wedding as my dress is a rust and sea green lhenga. I am not sure though, wouldnt colored contacts look artificial? I have been using contacts for ages but they have always been transparent as my eyesight is weak.
What do you guys think? Should I go for it? My skin color is wheatish (pretty close to rani mukherjeee :P)

contacts specifically to match your outfit? that belongs with white atta makeup and matching nails. (in other words, it's ugly and paindu)
on the other hand, if you wear color contacts all the time and they suit you......don't think it'd be such a bad idea. But don't use your wedding as the time to experiment with something. You want to look like yourself and be comfortable (well as comfortable as you can be with tons of makeup and jewelry :p).

Its sweet that your fiance is trying to be helpful…but no… :nono: Please do not do colored contacts to match your outfit on the wedding day. Unless you wear them ALL the time and people are very used to seeing you with them…don’t even think about it.

if you really want to wear contact lenses..then go for dark brown color..that is quite close to natural color..it will just produce the effect of big eyeball. or use any color radiating contacts that will enhance your natural eye color :)... i think honey will look artificial.. or other color u may wear is ekdum dark brown with a hue of black.

Try them on and see how they look on your skin tone...if you're already wearing contact lenses then switching the color is fine BUT it has to suit your complexion.
Your outfit should not be what you match your eye color with.

Thats kinda like wearing red if youre wearing red.. I personally think contacts which are of a brown shade are more natural depends i find it odd when someone wears blue:grey contacts and their face just dont suit them and look unnatural. I cnt even wear clear lenses :-( due to a bad infection so stick to glasses for everyday wear , (not on my wedding though lol) But some brides pull the look off some just look.. Weird..

bless his heart , but NO. honey coloured contacts look awful i had a classfellow wear it with a red outfit & she looked like she had peela yarkaan.
If you’re very pale skinned sometimes you brides can pull off grey lenses.However that said it’s been only once that I’ve liked a bride wearing them.

that will be very bold. Do a test before the big day, wear them in your normal days to see if they will look okay and also get opinion from friends, maybe if the colour is subtle, it might work. If it is the wish of your finacee, I think it will be worthwhile to give it a go before you refuse the idea.

all my cousen in pak whn they got married all wore contacts i always been against it god has given you beautiful eyez im sure you will look amazing without them so no no frm me toooo

I like your idea I am gonna give them a go on normal days and see if it works. Also how about if I ask my MUA on the big day? I think she will give the best advice,no?
