@Paheli00 etc etc, has anyone used red or bright orange for color correcting ??
Re: Color Correcting
What do you use red for?
I’ve tried using orange and it didn’t go well. Right now I use BB corrector in Peach and NYX CC green corrector.
Re: Color Correcting
I know some muas who do and I bought an Illamasqua orange lipstick to do the same. It does work but you need a ton of concealer on top, so it’s not really for everyday. For daily wear I too use the bb corrector in light peach with a highlighting concealer on top (touche eclat types). For the sided on my nose where I have redness, turns out Bourjois 123 colour correcting cc cream works really well.
Re: Color Correcting
I’ve seen a few videos of desi makeup artists using red for hyperpigmentation around the under eye and lip area.
I’ve used green to neutralize the redness. I used orange a few times, but it wasn’t bad, it just didn’t look any different than if I apply concealer without it.
Re: Color Correcting
When I’m doing a full face (like going out) I colour correct my face using the LA Girl Pro Conceal correctors. The trick is you can’t blend the orange into your skin so it disappears and you really need a small amount as well but your base and concealer should be a fuller coverage foundation.
Red is typically used for darker skin tones where orange would be of no use. Usually for our skin tone orange works for undereye and dark spots.
Re: Color Correcting
I’d never try red but a salmon/orange color corrector really helps neutralize dark circles and pigmentation. You just need a small amount!
