hi i m from college of home economics gulberg lahore… i have recently completed my masters from the institute … and i wana ask wat kind of jobs old home economists r doing after completing their studies…?

food and nutrition. For example kokb khawaja. (companies like lever borthers, dalda etc hire such people and pay well).

What did you do your masters in like nutrition, textile, child care,arts, or something else?
I know till bsc you have to study everything but you have to choose one speciality for masters program.

yeah i have done my Msc in child development which is now known as Human Development and Family Studies(HDFS). But its scope is just in schools n schools can't pay well.

Sweet sana welcome aboard.:) I'm your senior....have been there in late 90s.
I don't know what are the recent trends there in pakistan....but i think you can work with psychologists....and specially those working with disable children.My friend did her masters in Child development but she chose to work with some well known schools n was valued there for her qualification.

sana dear, i'm attached with a govt secretariat as assistant manager n did my M.Sc in Housing, before starting my job with this organization i worked in multi fields n figure it out that a home Economist can do any kind of professional n non professional job.

sweet sana, u can join a good psychologist n then afterwards two years degree prgm 4rm any where abroad for a psychiatric degree...then enjoy;)
