My parents didnt really save up much for me before i went to uni and after I went realised how much debt i would be in from my student loans so my bro who is 5 years younger as soon as I went they started saving for him and managed to save around £12000 so he doesnt have to use his loan to pay for his accommodation like i do!

I did my studies from Pakistan. But reading up on the internet, I ve realized that education from a private college is very expensive. I do want my kids to work as well but I want to save for them too. I initially thought I will just save up on my own but now I have realized that if you have money saved up and some kind of expense comes up, the saving tends to get used for that.
So I was just wondering if many parents do that or if there are other options out there as well.
