Coldest inhabited place on earth

This was the best ever documentary i have ever seen.

This place in Siberia, where people live all year around, the temprature goes down to bitter -67 C Yet they live there.

It was most amazing documentary. It was so damn cold that people there take a swim in ice cold water because it is so bloody warm !!. Not joking Think about it. The ice cold water beneth frozen river has a temprature 2, 1, 0 degree celsius and the temrature of surroundings in -30 C. Howzthat !

They live in a place where deisel can freeze if you leave it out in open at -50.
The guy Nick Middleten who was just crazy he goes to extreme places, he told that he spend a night out in open ( outside the warm house in a tent ) and just to demonstrate how cold it is, he threw warm water out of a cup in the air and in just a blink of an eye it became water crystals.

more abt that

Re: Coldest inhabited place on earth

i have seen that documentary, it was really good. The part where the guy had to light a torch and then warm the gas tank just to tthaw the fuel was amazing. And the reindeers that the local people herd there are still state-owned and some guy hadnt been paid by the governemnt in months he said(legacy of the ussr)

Re: Coldest inhabited place on earth

^ Yup :) the documentary was eye popping. Amazing.

The temprature was so cold that if you touch metal your fingers would stick to it.Yet the animals reindeers and horses and they survive in these etreme conditions. this is amzing

Re: Coldest inhabited place on earth

Well guys its a good thing they made a documentry on it because come the end of this century, we will have ice there only in the winter. Thanks to global warming.

The first time I tried to take some stills with my camera the metal stuck to my nose.

Imagine that!

Re: Coldest inhabited place on earth

It should be available in video /dvd stores if not online. I belive the guy Nick Middleton made many other documentaries as he mentioned he goes to extreme places for photography.

If i remember correctly i saw that on discovery , but that interview is at national geographic site :konfused: anyways

Now that i remember the second best documentary i saw, It was so tense that my heart beat increased while watching and at the climax it was breathtaking. The cameraman did an extra odinary job their.

That doc was filmed in India, and the guy was obseesed with poisonous snakes and he went to india with a mission to find and take photographs of Longest , Biggest Wild King cobra. The most lethal snake in the world.

He showed some of his encounters with deadly snakes in the past, the footage was amazing and frightening. The guy was crazy, He was bitten a few times in the past, but the way he maneouvred them, he was lightening fast but snakes were also up to the task. :k: The footage was breathtaking

Back in india he went to many cities and the to jungle, he found a couple of big long and deadly Cobras and he filmed them they were so deadly and fast ke admin unko samney dekh kar hi fout ho jaye  but he photographed them at very close distance…

In the end he finally found the one that he was looking for… it was 14 feet long King Cobra, first the snake atttacked him quite a few time but he managed to dodge the Cobra, and after a few minutes the snake cooled down and he was able to film/phograph. The snake was huge and very guick. the presenter told that this Cobra must be 80 years old and a very wise one.
