Colder Muslim places..

..in Summer..

Do such places exist? Want to take the parents on holiday but not somewhere toooo hot..

A Muslim country or place is easier as my Mum is quite strict on hijab, halal etc. She doesn’t mind the heat but I do..

Re: Colder Muslim places..

I know it's not a Muslim country/city but Sydney, Australia is quite cold at the moment (although we dont get snow so you can still do sight seeing etc). My mom also wears hijab and has never experienced any problems. Finding halal food is relatively simple although a bit harder in the Sydney CBD (still not impossible). I have been to USA twice, as well as Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and Dubai and I can honestly say that Sydney is number 1 out of all of these (although Turkey, Istanbul is a very very close second). I think you will find that most (if not all) Muslim countries at this time of year will be experiencing summer so it might be difficult to find a destination that is a Muslim country and in winter.

California :). The weather here is nice and there's tons of musjid and halal food places. It's actually raining after ages here in SoCal too.

Re: Colder Muslim places..

Azerbaijan or armenia and paris has quite alot of muslim and halal places. You could try the countries in the gulf as everywhere is air conditioned and i hate hot weather and i was able to cope well in fact i was cold most of the time!

Re: Colder Muslim places..

Thanks for the suggestions, really helpful :flower1:

She is up for Singapore the most so will look into that tonight..

Re: Colder Muslim places..

Singapore is great! But it is quite muggy in terms of the climate. Halal food is available everywhere and shopping is good too.

Re: Colder Muslim places..

^I think she will love it.. We have family in Aus, Malaysia and some of the other places mentioned and she's been to most of them but not Singapore..

Re: Colder Muslim places..

Singapore is quite warm these days. But no prob with halal food and hijab. Does ur mom eat all kinds of food?
