Please share your cold roast beef , turkey and chicken recipes.
I have bought tons of it just because , they do not sell it retail . I bought it from a wholesale restaurant supplier which sells certified zabiha halal versions of these meats. It is all precooked.
I have a meat slicer therefore so far we have been making many kinds and versions of sandwiches and burgers. But I am sure the kids will be tired of them soon.
the most basic turkey sandwich i make. toast two slices of bread, add mayonnaise on both sides, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, slice of cheese, olives and a little bit of salt n pepper on top.
I would lay out a platter of cold meats and serve with little pots of garlic mayo, chilli sauce, mustard, pickled gherkins, onions and olives.
People can help themselves and make open sandwiches if u serve with slices of fresh bread loaf.
It would also make good toppings for...

since we're talking about cold cuts..what's the best way to store them once the package has been opened? and how long do they last after it's been opened?

Air tight container works best. Cold cuts usually last no more then 4-5 days, so don't stock up on them (even if tempted by a sale). I wouldn't suggest freezing either, the few times that I have the meat is tasteless and watery, yuck.
^ thanks! yeah, i kinda figured it wouldn't last more than 4 days or so. i'll remember not to freeze them, as that's what we normally do with anything that can't be eaten right away :p
