The salesman explained, “When I got posted in the Middle East, I was very confident that I will makes a good sales pitch as Cola is virtually unknown there. But, I had a problem I didn’t know to speak Arabic. So, I planned to convey the message through 3 posters.. First poster, a man crawling through the hot desert sand.. totally exhausted and panting. Second, the man is drinking our Cola and Third, our man is now totally refreshed.Then these posters were pasted all over the place”
“That should have worked”, said the friend." He replied, “Well, I didn’t know Arabic, neither did I realize that Arabs read from right to left…”

Coke in fact contains alcohol (so that may also affect its sales)…

If you want proof read mark pendergrasts book titled “for god, country and coca-cola”. This was a man who worked for coke and exposed cokes secret formula.
Alcohol was used in the production of coke and then siphoned off from the top (i would imagine trace amounts still remain in coke).

Citrate Caffein, 1 oz.
Ext. Vanilla, 1 oz.
Flavoring, 2.5 oz.
F.E. Coco, 4 oz.
Citric Acid, 3 oz.
Lime Juice, 1 Qt.
Sugar, 30 lbs.
Water, 2.5 Gal.
Caramel sufficient
Mix Caffeine Acid and Lime Juice in 1 Qt Boiling water add vanilla and flavoring when cool.
Flavoring
Oil Orange, 80
Oil Lemon, 120
Oil Nutmeg, 40
Oil Cinnamon, 40
Oil Coriander, 40
Oil Neroli, 40
Alcohol, 1 Qt.
let stand 24 hours.
