Yes, they generally do. There is however a period of time when they are allowed to venture out into the world to 'live a sinful life' and decide for themselves if they want to remain amish. It's usually from age 16-21 or so. I believe most of them return to their Amish life but some decide not to return. There is drug use and sex during this time, but somehow the elders turn a blind eye to this behaviour. There was a documentary made about this rite of passage in the community.
