What else we know about coins issued by Moghul emperors? Was Akbar more significant than others in that?

The coins are beautiful; so intricately carved. And the carvings are more raised compared to contemporary coins. Imagine the amount of time and effort that it would have taken to make just one of them...and that too...without machinery for mass peoduction.

I want to know more about what vision moguls had behind issuing these coins. Ofcourse running the economy but in what way?

You see akbar was defo a visionary ruler. And he was kinda religious rebel so he tested with multiple things. He read that hindus are a force in subcontinent so he tried to make them happy by including their things as well.
May be coming from his hindu wives as in the end, he was still a tharki moghul king

Something wrong with this. How come the heirs are so less out of the huge family. Technically they should be far more.
By the way, ask your mom if its true that moghul women dont marry outside family.
Also do we know that all “khans” in subcontinent are possibly the generation of army of Sher shah Suri? We should have a seperate thread on it

Sher Shah Suri practically invented the new currency system of the Ruppee in place throughput the majority of Mogul Rule. Ironically prior to the change it was originally a Decimal currency as used by the Turks, Mongols and Persians. It seems Sher Shah Suri went with the new trend for a currency similar to that in use by the Europeans most notably the Portugese at that time. Mogul coins are noted for being relatively chunky and in many shapes besides circular coins, they were original more like blocks but gradually everyone started minted the circular coins we know today.
