Coil- contraception

Re: Coil- contraception

There is no difference in the discomfort of a coil/IUD for women who have had a csection.

An ectopic pregnancy is when the embryo implants itself outside the uterine cavity. Since an IUD or coil, is meant to prevent implantation, there are minor risks associated that may or may not lead to an ectopic pregnancy.

My sister has had Mirena, the hormonal IUD for more than 10 years…no side effects, no issues.
