COFFEE THREAT OVER-RATED
A common advice for the patients who have irregular heart beats known as “ARRHYTHMIAS” is to cut the caffeine.
But news from University of Toronto, by cardiologist Martin G.Myer say that a person taking about 500mg. of caffeine daily (i.e. 5 or 6 cups of coffee) does not cause Arrhythmias.
He said that" It is misconception that caffeine speeds up heart beat rate". However taking 900mg of caffeine (i.e. 9 to 10 cups of coffee) may increase the pre-existing arrhythmias.
Infact, people sensitive to caffeine can develop panic attacks, including heart palpitations, by taking relatively low amount of caffeine.
