Coccyx (Tail Bone):

:salam2:

Well, nowadays there are plenty of discussion available on various sites that 'some Chinese tried to dissolve ‘Coccyx (Tail Bone)’ by using various methods/liquids but failed to dissolve it. Then some hadiths were quoted in support that why the ‘Coccyx (Tail Bone)’ doesn’t dissolve. Little search and I came across this article:

The Coccyx Bone

But haven’t find about those Chinese who tried to do this experiment. However, I read comments of Mr. Steven Ford, Retired GP – primary care medical practitioner in the UK, and I quote: “Bone preservation is entirely dependent on the environment in which the bone is deposited. In some places, very dry ones for example, bones may endure for many hundreds of millenia. In others, wet and with very high or very low ph, the mineral content may leach away very quickly leaving no trace. All bones behave the same way.”

and comment of Mr. Steve Jones, Doctor UK, MA Physiology and Neuroscience, who said this is Absolute nonsense. The coccyx decomposes just like the rest of the skeleton. There is nothing “magical” about it."
