I’ve started wearing Asian clothes (shalwar/trouser/churidar kameez and the like) alot more recently and now it’s getting a bit chilly in the UK I need something to cover up with when going out. The coats I have don’t seem to go with clothes and just look odd. Shawls are ok and do look elegant but are so impractical and it’s getting a bit too cold even for those. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Cardigans look nice and are warm too! The lighter cardigans look nice on salwar kameez the bulky one don't look nice

Cardigans are ok for around the house but even then they can look a little naff. I need something more substantial. Something I can go out in like a coat etc.
Re: coat/outerwear for Asian clothes
Avoid bulky, boyish coats and wear longer, fitted, dressy coats.
The thing I hate though, is carrying a dupatta underneath too. If you leave it draping down your side, it peeks out at the bottom. If you wrap it around your neck, you suffocate.
