Coalition uniform for Iraqis

I remember before the war started there was a news article suggesting that Saddam has bought/ordered in thousands uniform copying that of Coalition/US forces and US military or media was suggesting that Iraqi army would kill civilians wearing that uniform and blame that on US/Coalition forces.

I wonder what happened to those uniforms? Why media/military had to create such false news just like evidence of WMDs?

Changez, a cache of American-military uniforms were found to be in Iraqi possession.
