For the past three years I’ve been working for a college as student help but recently I was transferred to a permanent position. I still work at the same college but in a different department, I wanted to do something for the staff I used to work with to say thank you and how much I enjoyed working with them since it was my first real job. I’ve already gotten each one of them thank you cards but it seems like I should do something more. My friend thinks I should bake them cookies and package them separately for all of the seven staff members, i’m not too sure about that idea though. So I need some creative idea, or do y’all think thank you cards are plenty?
I know you ladies especially; shahreen, sadzz, FF, MehnazQ, Ducky, and Sadi Sobi must have some ideas. Please help.

Take them all out to lunch at a desi restaurant on Friday. You may hand out the cards after lunch.

Funguy you look cute. There are no desi resturants where I live. I like that idea but it's impossible to have everyone go out to lunch at the sametime.
Actually, I think a personalized card is a wonderful and really considerate gift by itself. Usually, most people don't really do anything for their co-workers; more like the co-workers will do something instead for the one who is leaving. Hmmm, let me think what else you can do.
How about getting them something for the office that they need (can't think of any examples offhand right now though) and that way everytime they use it after you've gone they'll remember you.
Well in that case you don't need to give them something to remember you buy. But I'll leave this thread unlocked for the future when your sister leaves the job.
What's your workspace like? Do you have individual cubicles or is it all open? Do they like candy? How about one of those small candy machines? Does your office have a good coffee maker? I know our one is crap. I would be thrilled if someone got a cappuccino maker (very pricey).
Are you any good at art? Why not draw characteurs of all the people you used to work with, and have them printed on mugs with a message stating how grateful you are for their help and stuff.
Failing that, have a jigsaw puzzle made from a group photo - I think Jessips do that (if you don't have a Jessops, try any good camera store).
