Co-education and Love Birds

There is a perception that co-education promotes love birds. Some old ladies are of the view that ‘ye laRkiyan paRhne nahin jati, bur (husband) dhoondne jati hain’.

Whats your view on this considering the image of certain education institutes which are famous as marriage bureaus.

Regarding some institutions its true, but that not happens in all Co-educations institutes

yes Var is husband in Sindhi too :) But as they use bar dikhawa... so there is also bar dhoondna.

saari karawaiyan to class 10 ke baad start hoti hain ;)

But there always remain a probability of this element. Thats why we still have separate ladies colleges to deal with the parents who are not comfortable to send their girls in co-education institutes.

BTW which are those some institution? :)

there are some but i personally know one college, Premier college Lahore, udhar yehi cheizein hoti thein, isi waja say band bhi kar diya gaya :)

There was a time when Liaquat Medical College (LMC) was known as Love Marriage College :hehe:

we cannot generalise but we have atleast 22 ‘pairs’ in our class who got married right after med. school :bummer: I remember aik ‘jora’ who used to say we are ‘bhai behn’ (moonh bolay walay) and they had this fixed spot for their meetings where someone once put up a poster that said:

kon kehta hai ishq may pakray jayengay
waqt aanay per behn bhai bun jayengay :cb:

so yeah, true for our session atleast !

In MP usually they have Maharani schools for girls , and Maharaja school for boys.

And you wont be surprized that boys always skip the last class and flock in front of Maharani school :D

I've been told that this is very common behaviour in front of Girl's colleges in Pakistan too. :)

Nothing wrong, but conservative families don't like this in Desi society

vaise, AligaRh Muslim University meN ek Girl's College hai jahaN kii laRkiyaaN undergrad studies ke dauraan hii apne local guardians kii families ke thru shaadii ke bandhan men bandh jaatii haiN aur higher studies yaa professional course ke liye main campus meN vohii aatii haiN jo vahaN kii REJECTED hotii haiN...ab aap samajhdaar haiN, Khud hii andaaza lagaa leN k kis qaism kii laRkiyaaN aatii hoNgii...lol...aisii k jin se jamadaarniyaaN ziyaada Haseen o jameel hotii haiN...[aisaa vahaN ke logoN kaa kahnaa hai] :D
