My mom is overseas and lost her CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)

Does anyone know what the procedure is to get a duplicate one?
Does she need to be in Pakistan to get this done?
What is the procedure?

No. need to go to Pakistan. U have to keep handy the following documents while visiting Pakistan Embassy or Consulate General

  1. Original Passport + Copy
  2. Original + Copy of Police Report for lost CNIC
  3. Copy of NIC/CNIC/NICOP of spouse
  4. Copy of NIC/CNIC/NICOP of Blood Relatives

Keep in mind that k if ur overseas pakistani then the embassy/CG will not issue u CNIC. U can apply for NICOP. Once u have NICOP then no need for CNIC.

www.mofa.gov.pk and click on ur Pakistan embassy of ya country.

No need to thanx. Check on the 2nd page of ya passport (old/new) below u'll find NIC/CNIC numb. If its MRP then right hand on booklet cover. :D
