So I have 4 drumsticks defrosting and I have no clue what to make. Initially I thought of making pulao but my dad bought some chinese food…rice and fish in some sauce…so that throws away my making pulao. I cannot make a regular chicken salan as my dad doesn’t eats that stuff…ok so I am cluless what to make…
If I make chicken chanay… then the chana component might be too overwhelming as we had chana chaat 2-3 days in a row.
I am out of peas. We had lot of zuchini and its cousins in last couple weeks…
so back to the old question what to do with my drumsticks? Something that doesn’t sounds boring, not too desi, not too wilayati…but still yumious…
awww...thats too bad...:(
but if u really want to make that kinda thing,u can marinate it for a while with the usual spices and some yogurt and cook it in a pot, close the lid and keep on low to medium flame for 45 mins(or the time it takes to cook it well)...it will be like steam roasted...my mom does it a lot and i have done it too...tasted good and the chicken is really moist too...
maybe that will help...:)
add, salt, pepper, soy sauce, vinegar.pich of crushed red chillies.
steam it.
in another pan cut onions in round shape. just sought them with a TBSp of oil add half fried potato wedges. combine all together and steam again. yummy .
boil the drumsticks, then seperate the meat from the bone.
prepare a tomato/ onion paste with the kinda spices you like and cook the chicken in that. its light and easy, and it doesn't take too long to make. thoRha rookha rahe ga so you could eat it with roti/ pita wrap/ sandwich.
Thank you girls for the wonderful ideas. I deceided to ask my dad what he would like to eat and out of no where he said korma....lol... So I have sort of made korma, I mean it is not traditional korma but chicken salan with light gravy...lol... If he doesn't likes it then I will cook rice in it....lol... my back up plan :D
