Cloudy oil

Salams, I have been having a strange problem with my oil or wok but every time I try to fry something in oil, as soon as it gets hot enough, it becomes so cloudy that I cant even see whats cooking. Its like small cream coloured bubbles cover the top layer of the oil and it stays like this unless I remove the wok from the electric plate. Its not a problem with the wok because I tried to fry my pakoray in a pot with the same oil but the same thing happened. I have the usual sunflower oil from Asda.

Any suggestions what could be casuing it and how to get rid of it?

Re: Cloudy oil

thats strange. do u think something might be wrong with ur oil perhaps?

it could have something to do with what ever it is your frying, if your frying something that maybe has got fine breadcrumbs or possibly egg (like for Shammi kebabs) that will cause a film/cloud to form on top of the oil
