I have tried Carbonite, it’s decent for the price, but it is s.l.o.w. to upload/download. It’s not the internet speed entirely either. Is this problem suffered across all online storage options? What alternative(s) do you recommend?

I use google drive for my blogs and sites backup and its pretty cool , i am allowed 15 gb and I think some 9gb is occupied, You can also use drop box, I had used it in past and its awesome ... btw , i used mediafire too, it gave me 100gb space on free account , but some days back, my friend signed up and he was given 10gb only ... so m not sure about it
Yes, the mainstream cloud storage like Dropbox and Google Drive are better options (for personal files) and Kim Dot Com's new Mega drive is another alternative.
Dropbox hai ya stargate. But I guess DMD's video would've given you a good start. You using it yet?
I use Dropbox too. Sharing, syncing etc. I also use GDrive, Skydrive, AWS etc. Different services for different phases of life.
I wish someone would come out with an app that would enable users to utilize all the services at the same time.
There is apps like that on the apple and perhaps on android side as well, but I don't think that anyone really thinks of that when it comes to PC. They assume that you might as well install everything.
No way. My PC I treat more gently than my stomach. I think twice of what I put in it. Specially since i got SSD with only 256GB of space on my drive.
If you start installing everything that comes your way you should think of this saying, "apnay haath se apnay pair per kulhari maro"!
