Clothing help for sis's wedding!

Hi everyone!

My sis’s baraat and valima will be this fall, and i have no clue as to what to wear to the two events, i haven’t been to pakistan in a long time so i’m not up to date with the trends for 2011.

I know i will be wearing a frock for the mehndi, but i want something different for the baraat and valima, i was thinking of wearing a sari for the valima but again i’m not sure what colours will be in style for oct/nov.

If you all could give me some ideas with pics i will be so grateful!!

My brother is getting married in October inshAllah.

I am married and using some of my heavier jahez/bari clothes and some new.

Mehndi: not sure yet; might wear my own mehndi chunnri sharara in yellow or my bari angharka in ferozi
Shadi: will wear my own wedding gharara, red and light green
Valima: Wearing a new gharara in purple, accented with pink, green, and ferozi.

I think the sari is a great idea for the valima. Using valima colors are softer or cooler than shadi/mehndi colors, so you can use blues, greens, purples and pastels. But really anything that suits you is fine.

On the shadi a gharara would be lovely. In red, shocking pink, purple, or gold maybe?

Congrats Sahar02!! and thank you for your detailed explanation!
I am thinking a light blue sari will work for the valima!
could you please show me an example of a gharara? i am just wondering where the length of the shirt should fall.
