Assalam o aleikum everyone :slight_smile:

Theres a wedding coming up, and I need to get a few outfits made. What is in these days? The wedding will take place in june, and I will be 5 months pregnant by then inshAllah. What will look good and not exposing? I had a lehnga choli made, but that is out of option now…

Anything but anarkali frocks. So sick of them :see_no_evil_monkey: Any ideas sisters? :slight_smile:

Omg I am sick to death of Anarkali frocks. They seem to be the go-to for the majority of pakistani girls. I personally despise those hideous looking things and have steered clear of them for the last few years.

The long frock/dress/kameez with a sharara underneath seems to be one of the latest trends. You can also alter it and make it looser for your stomach. See below

Also, long maxi dresses (the pakistani styles one) look nice. I know a few fat asian aunties who wore one to weddings and they looked super classy and not at all accentuated their fat stomachs. In fact, it hid it quite well. Look at pic below.

Also if you do decide to wear the lehnga choli you can drape your scarf in such a way that it cover the stomach area

The actual in thing is short shirts with cigarette pants. So may be a short shirt with a gown on top?

What @EasternDresses said above. The “in” thing now are short straight/boxy shirts with fitted trousers or straight pants. Something like this from Elan.

Do any of you know an online store? Or someone who can make nice suits?

I am not ready to pay Elan prices for a dress I’ll wear for a day only :stuck_out_tongue:

Where do you guys find these pics from? I am trying to find shaadi outfit options for my mom and can find anything age appropriate for her style.
