Guppans who do not reside in India, Pakistan or Bangladesh do you normally order desi clothes online or ask family members to post some Eid/party wear? I personally despise the desi attire I see many people wearing here in England. I’ve rarely come across a decent outfit.

mom and i get family friends to send it from pakistan. when my grandmother lived in karachi, she and khala did every thing. but it is sooo common for people to be selling desi clothes now! UK, US, every where women are selling clothes. i was visiting canada 3 yrs ago and a pakistani lady next door was selling lawn joray that i liked so i bought them. many ppl buy the clothes online as well.

I do both, but recently have started to trust my In laws with the lawn outfits etc since you can just pick the number and they get it for me. The Prices here scare me but i haven't been able to find a decent lady who i can use to order for formal outfits either.

For people living in Canada who do order their personal clothes from Pakistan, do you have to pay duty on them? And is the duty high?
