On average, our Moms are always that safe haven, that strong protective and loving figure in our lives, so we take them as friends.
On average, our Fathers, due to their role in nurturing us, are more of a supervisor - affectionate but strict.

well i am the youngest in the family...so the most pampered. Both my folks love me as much...but my dad..being a desi dad...he doesnt show much & is the more strict one in the family. While my mom is alil more calm & she showers her love on me.
i've alwys been a daddy's girl and so am much closer to him...we have the same interests and can talk for ages on just about anything, he's funny and calm...but at the same time he can be a very strict dad when he wants to be. Still luv him lots and he's the best!
Never got on with my mum when i was younger (we just seemed to claSh all the time). Although have become closer to my mum in the last couple of years, but she's more resrved and not quite as immature as me and my dad. Luv her lots 2.
im closer to mom, ..... my dad's a lil strict in some issues like namaaz... dam.. if i dont offer isha prayer my dad tells mom not to give me food :(... but i luv my dad too :)...
I have a really excellent relationship with both of my parents. I am able to talk to both of them about pretty much everything and go to them for advice. I would say that I am closer to my mother only cause we cuddle so much. She is my jaan, but my daddy is my jaan too.
Was always closer to my dad. We watched documentaries, football, cricket and other sports together, made fun of American wrestling, joked around and talked about politics, religion and all sorts of crap. He was more laid back and always on my side but with my mum its more personal and serious because she worries so much so I don't wanna piss her off with silly things. However recently its become more humorous. Shes always been the boss of the house.
She is my jaan, but my daddy is my jaan too.
