Has anyone taken Clomid, what have your experiences been
Re: clomid
I did, it was not a pleasant experience. 50mg. Actually I don't think I even needed it bcos I was ovulating ok, I think Dr just wanted to increase it. In the end she told me to take half the dose bcos I had severe night sweats, hot flashes, bloating, got moody and cried for no reason, angry etc.
On the plus side, it did actually work in producing a lot more follicles very quickly. Was very pleased to stop taking it.
I think the Dr was just following protocol by prescribing it in my case. Now I'm quite angry about having gone through that but such is life.
Hope it works for you.
Re: clomid
I don't know if they have those distinctions in the UK, unless they r the same as fertility specialists (who end up being OBGYNs anyway!).
Re: clomid
^^That is exactly what happened with me too.
My RE referred me to my OB as soon as I hit the 12 week mark.
I took Clomid for a few cycles.Luckily enough I had none of the side effects although this drug is notorious for some crazy side effects.
I never responded so well to it too.
My OB/Gyn was the one who started me with Clomid but when we went to the RE,she suggested one cycle of Clomid to see how things respond and on seeing a not so good response,we switched to injections.
