When the drug companies/doctors conduct these clinical trials, they report the conclusions in terms of percentages over ‘placebo’ patients. Does this mean, some of the patients who are participating in these trials, hoping to get an advanced trial drug, are actually getting nothing? When you think about drugs for late-stage cancer, the outcome for some these patients is death. Is that how it is? Or am I just taking a darker view of things?
