Climate Control under the Obama regime

It was often said that President Bush did not even believe in the theory of Global warming. The US, which is the largest in terms of greenhouse emissions under his 8 years neglected steps to slow down global warming, and even UN sanctioned global measures, namely the Kyoto Protocol which he never ratified. Because of that, many states came up with their own means to curb emissions, such as California, but got stiff opposition from Washington. Now that the democrats are back, and Obama highlighting the need to reduce green house emissions with full cooperation from the automotive industry, do you think he will be successful? There may even be a cap on how much we emit from our cars. He also pointed out that he will expect cooperation from India and China and the US will not be the only one making these changes.

Re: Climate Control under the Obama regime

America is welcome to what it wants to do, but no developing country should be restricting its growth with carbon caps and the like.

they've got an economy in recession and they want to labour it further with carbon emission caps. great plan.

fact is, they need a less hamhanded approach than what democrats are traditionally associated with. and they need to encourage technology, that is the only realistic solution imo.

Re: Climate Control under the Obama regime

war in iFghantistan is still going so there wont be any difference we will see in this Kyoto Protocol equation.

the real and better question when countries will realize that the economic recession in their respective country cant let them continue with these aim less wars.
