By Our Correspondent

NAWABSHAH, Aug 8: A man and his sons, on a long march from Nushahro Feroze to the Chief Minister House in Karachi, reached here on Friday.

A clerk of Kandiaro Market committee,** he has not received his salary for 34 months.**

Ali Khan Siyal along with his seven sons carrying Holy Quran also protested outside the Nawabshah Press Club. He complained that many employees of Market Committee Kandiaro, including himself were deprived of their salaries since last 34 months.

He said he could find no option but to plead to the chief minister for justice. He threatened to commit self-immolation outside the Chief Minister House if not paid his dues before August 14.

Imagine that, going without salary for 34 months where MNAs/MPAs salaries are hiked up almost every year, some poormen who are powerless have to go for salary-less for 34 months!

How many of you (employed ones) can go without salary for 3-4 months?

Isn’t there an “Ombudsman” which can solve these types of problems?

It is sad. Funny thing is how he is surviving since last 34 months where every thing is very expensive now a days.

It might seem funny, but its not like everyone shuts door on you. He has seven sons, not sure of their age, may be they are earning too? May be he is borrowing from friends/relatives against his expected salary?
