Cleaning up clogged arteries

Is that possible?

Fat gets deposited in our arteries over time and all of us who eat even decent amount of fried food have some percentage of blockage in arteries. Someone told me no diet or medicine can remove that fat from arteries, is that true?

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

Yes, it is possible with the help of medicines along with a balanced diet +excercise. Some people go for remedies like honey and something combined with it . I think if the attery is clogged up to 90% then stunting (angioplasty) is the only method if not bypass.

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

Before I believe you, can you give me a source of your information?

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

Well i have had few such cases in my family recently so hence this knowledge after meeting up with the docs and all. You can look up on net or meet your doc for more and better information.

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

i thought u cant clean up but avoid further build up.

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

^ Yes this is what I heard too so I'm asking this question.

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

nope....only through surgery. My uncle recently had a surgery done...it's quite safe though.

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

I’ve been told that there is a formula that will help to clear up clogged arteries.
It involves the following:

1 cup juice of each: lemon, garlic and ginger
1 cup of apple cider vinegar
simmer all of the above on low flame until it is reduced to 2 cups
add 3 cups of honey and store
take 1 tablespoon every morning

I have not tried this but a very good family friend recommended it as she has seen it work.

My brother is going to try to make it…apparently it really stinks up the house so he’s trying to find a way to simmer it outside :cb:.
Will report back but I’m sure that it will take some months to show results.

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

I believe that is possible!

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

No is a safer and better answer.

There is no real chemical or drug which can 'clean up' the clogged arteries to any clinically significant amount.

Many studies have been done so far in this regard. None proved to be significant.

Statins group of medications which reduce cholesterol are best to reduce further clogging. Only one study (or maybe few other small studies) showed very little increase in size of inner diameter of arteries but that was not really significant.

Unfortunately there has not been any breakthrough in this regard so far.

Some people did studies on "Chelating agents" like EDTA. Results have not been convincing.

EDTA supporters say it is all because of medical politics. (Please read about it but these are not approved by medical societies)

Anyways, so far one can "stabilize" the clogged arteries by statin like drugs and reduce chance of heart attacks but what is there in arteries has not been shown to reduce much.

Prevention is by diet in low cholesterol, not smoking and regular exercise. Not vigorous exercise.

Treatments are medical, stenting, bypass. None actually reduce the material. Stents just push material outside and bypass just bypass the blockages.

Some devices do reduce the clogged arteries but that means mechanical scraping of arteries and calcium by cutters over a wire (atherectomy) or opening the arteries by surgery (endarterectomy).

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

EECP - enhanced external counterpulsation
I dont think it is to clean up the clogged arteries but it helps to increase the oxygen supply in blood. The good thing is that it is non-invasive but expensive too.

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

its true

Re: Cleaning up clogged arteries

It is almost out of practice.
And like you said it does not unclog the arteries.
