The key is this, if you are living in an apartment complex, anything breaks or gets worn out due to normal use get it fixed immediately by landlord, so that your apartment will be in top shape when you leave. Do not forget to fill in a work order or whatever paperwork is required to get anything fixed so that you have a paper trail.
