Sara, I am just wondering if the paint layer has come off, leaving those tiny little spots ? 
… coz i know its happened to mine recently … I cleaned it like a freak and the next thing i notice , the paint has started coming off, leaving similar spots 
…I have done what Mirch suggested … just put the foil on .. and change that regularly …
