Do you wash them manually using hand showers ? or do you use a carpet washing machine? chuck them in the washing machine?

How do you wash your rugs?

I wash them manually with brush and carpet cleaner. But for small rugs I sometimes put in machine.

Manually, with brush and detergent.

isnt it difficult to wash them manually? specially the thick rugs :no:

CB, get a steam cleaner for carpets and upholstery and all your problems will be solved (mattress, rugs, carpet). We use a carpet cleaner spray as well.

A few years ago, I hired a professional extraction carpet cleaner unit for the day (from HSS) and did all the carpets/rugs in my parents house.

any particular steam cleaners recommended for carpet and rugs ?

I like the idea of hiring professional cleaners, I think once my kid is potty trained I am going to do that for some extensive cleaning ..
