Cleaning the inside of a microwave

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but what do you people use to clean the microwave from inside?
I dont use any abrasive chemicals because they can’t be rinsed out. I use vinegar but it does not do the job well enough for my liking.

Any ideas how to get it all chamakta dhamakta please?

Re: Cleaning the inside of a microwave

Plane old dish washing soap soaked in a paper towel or a sponge and the wiping it with paper towels do the trick for me.

Re: Cleaning the inside of a microwave

what Br. Mirch said is perfect plus i think you may tak the revolving glass tray out and washed in the kitchen sink :) you just got a spiffy clean microwave...courtesy to Mirch Bhai and myself! :D

Re: Cleaning the inside of a microwave

what works for me is taking a bowl of water and putting slices of lemon in it. and turning the microwave on for 2-3 minutes, all the residue is easily removable and no harsh chemicals used. If something is left behind I just repeat it.

Re: Cleaning the inside of a microwave

Ok, will the soapy sponge work on a combination microwave??
I have an oven and griller inside it with rods on the back and roof panel, if that makes sense!
And yes the revolving dish gets washed often enough!

Re: Cleaning the inside of a microwave

actually I do that if there is a strong odour of food inside the microwave and it does work a treat. Smells all lemony...but it doesnt really clean the microwave, does it?

Re: Cleaning the inside of a microwave

i split a lemon in half and put it in a bowl with some water and put the microwave on for about 4-5 mins - that gets rid of all the odours and leaves a nice smell. Then i clean it with an anti-bacterial wet wipes you get for cleaning surfaces etc...

Re: Cleaning the inside of a microwave

^ i do the same, and also plate gets washed often just with soapy water

Re: Cleaning the inside of a microwave

Ill try the lemon slices and other tips suggested and report back the results, thanks :)
