cleaning curtains and blinds

I decided to do a deep clean but couldnt get the curtains or blinds off easily. Such a hassle.

Any easier way to manage the cleaning? or is taking them off their hooks, the only way to clean them?

Do you wash them in the machine or just steam clean them?

Get them professionally cleaned once, and then scotchgard them

For curtains you have to take them off and wash or dry clean them. For blinds get mr clean magic eraser and just wet and wipe or u can use the clorox wipes as well. Personally i just take off the blinds and put them in the bathtub or back yard and clean them because im uncomfortable standing on a ladder for a long time.
