How do I clean a tft monitor?

Its got mad marks all over it when in off mode, like smudges from a cloth. It was the display version…so I need to clean it now.

dont use ANY solution other than sommat special I have at home which costs £10 a tiny bottle. Doesnt clean just adds a layer of protection.

To clean only use a microfibre cloth. Anything else will rub, smudge and scratches. Microfibre cloth must be clean, any residue in e.g. dirt which has sand will leave scratches. A little dampness with microfibre is quite ok.

Will laptop cleaning wipes be ok? As laptops also have TFT/LCD screens?

The screen is a TFT/LCD 17" syncmaster720x.

I use a very minutely wet cloth to clean my laptop TFT.

just use some cotton cloth mon and dont use any water, plain old cotton cloth will do the job

I do Use glass cleaner for my laptop, clean with paper towels

Well I don't recommend paper towels. They are more likely to put a scratch than the ol' cloth towel.
