It seems to be an indispensable part of your beauty routine. You owe it to yourself to keep it clean, so it can serve you better. A few tips for Indian women to take better care of their hair.
Methodology:
Remove hair from brush. If you keep swirling the hair around your finger as you remove it, you can do a more effective job.
Pour some warm water into a medium sized container. Pour some liquid soap into it.
Dip the brush with natural bristles several times into the warm soapy water.
If there is any dirt between the bristles, use a small toothbrush to clean it.
Rinse the brush with cool water.
Let it air dry. Leaving it out in the hot sun may warp the brush sometimes.
Synthetic brushes may be dipped in the warm water for a while. They will not warp or separate at the bristles.
i just think comb is a less headache than a hair brush..why do u guys use hair brusg anyways..my hair gets stuck in it..or maybe its just cause of ma weird hair..
thats wat i am wondering..how can u use hair brush..my hair is all curly and thick ..and gets stuck in the hair brush..but i use comb with widened spaces..its perfect for my hair
Combs are better to use if you have thicky or curly hair, or for using on wet hair to comb conditioner through for example. Paddle brushes are better for straight or long hair and those round brushes should be banned altogether cos everytime I use one I end up having to cut it out of my hair.
Shahreen, I find those bristle round brushes really good for when you straighten your hair. If you have a mid-size/large one, depending on how much hair you have, they are quite good at flattening and smoothing your hair. At the moment, I just use a comb.
My hairdresser always used those too but I always get my hair all tangled up in them, so use a paddle brush instead (although the hairs of blowdrying my hair straight are over thanks to the wonders of Yuko)

my hairdresser made me buy one as well, but it was to put a wave in my hair bcos mine are quite straight
also i hate those brushes, once i was lying down reading a book whilst my little sister was running it thru my hair, the next thing i know its stuck in there and i have to cut a good amount off :o that was AWFUL
Glad to hear I'm not the only one then! You'd think I'd just learn from my mistakes and throw it away but every time I come back from the hairdressers I fool myself into thinking I can use it like they do.
