The American Academy of Pediatrics urges parents, educators, school administrators, school board members, legislators, and others to seek the legal prohibition by all states of corporal punishment in schools and to encourage the use of alternative methods of managing student behavior.
Murgha = Check
Murgha + Danda on the behind = Check
Stand on the bench = Check
Stand on the bench + Danda on the butt = Check
Hit hands with stick (not rule, with a thick danda) = Check
I’ve stood in the corner and in sun
Smacked on the back of the head = Check
Slapped on the face = Check
That’s all I can recall. For the most part, these punishments were given to me because the whole class was punished for being too loud or something else.
I have forgotten that spanking now. I don’t think it has any long term effects on kids, unless they are severely beaten and break a bone or something, which has happened to a couple of students and the teachers were threatened in that case. Kids are dheet most of the times, so they need these kind of punishments as punishment by giving lower grade don’t mean anything to students for the most part, as far as I’ve seen.
Mirch Some private schools punish kids as well, I was in a private school until I joined a public high school.

and TLK ustaad ji ur the best ustaad i have evr had 
ok so i was an average student
but lazy like hell never used to study for quizes or do my homework
i laways had red “incomplete” marks all over my notebooks
most common punishment i used to have was my teacher used to make me stand and hence being the tallest kid in the class blocking the view of all of the kids sitting behind me
cudnt stupid teacher make me stand at the back or sumthing always in the middle sof class room idiot 
and yeah got slapped by teachers and man how much i hated those teachers
but i wish i see those teachers now and will really beat the crap out of them

and my maths teacher always used to kick me out of the class for not doing my homework and my notebooks were always incomplete
and my chem teacher used to kick al of the students out on daily basis for not answering her questions and i was always the first one to get kicked out

o yeah ruler on the hand all the time and my discipline teacher made me take 2 laps round the assembly ground for 2 years for wearing platform shoes which were not allowed with school uniform

once when i was in 5th the teacher made my write something 3 times -
other than that no 1 punished me
yes in graduation whenever i was not in class - bunking on - she used to sent hunters after me

going to school itself was a punishment.. sab gorey bachey thay in my class aur mera fun uraate thay

He got away with it as this happened in Pakistan. Don’t know where he is as we came back to England.
My Mother raised us and she didn’t know this was happening as I was too scared to tell her. Thankfully the Qari/Hafiz didn’t use the cable after that incident but tried other methods.
